The Mission

Unmind needed a set of versatile motion assets to bring consistency and energy across their internal communications and product-focused content. The goal was to support the rollout of their brand system by creating animated elements that felt aligned, purposeful, and easy to reuse across teams.

Why It Mattered

Motion has become one, if not the most important components of a brand. On this project it was important to help Unmind’s movement match the tone of their refreshed visual identity. The animations had to be functional and trendy, reflecting the brand’s focus on mental wellbeing.

My Role

  • Designing and animating motion assets

  • Developing transitions and brand-aligned behaviours

  • Ensuring consistency across motion language and communication styles

  • Supporting the internal comms and product teams with flexible, scalable assets

Creative Approach

I took cues from the existing brand system, working with its shapes, colours, and typography to build a motion language that felt fluid and clear. The animations were purposefully restrained — subtle transitions, smooth entrances, and elements that supported the content without taking over. Everything was designed to be reused easily across future assets.

Audience Use

The assets were handed over to Unmind’s internal teams and used across product updates, team announcements, and mental health content. The goal was not just to make things look nice, but to make motion more usable and consistent for non-designers too.
